AVANT Capital is seeking an entry-level employee to assist the firm’s Managing Principal with numerous duties and firm-wide coordination of efforts. This is not a “receptionist” or strictly administrative position, although administrative tasks are a large part of the position, and will require the employee to develop commercial real estate related knowledge and grow with the company. The successful candidate will demonstrate the aptitude to transition into a professional level position.

Duties:

• Welcoming prospective clients, investors and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries to appropriate parties. Assistant will not be answering a switchboard but will act as an initial point of contact in many cases for those engaging with our firm.
• Setting appointments and managing the schedule of the Managing Principal (MP).
• Coordinating work-flow throughout the company, per instructions from MP.
• Organizing all aspects of the firm.
• Engaging in research projects per MP instructions.
• Writing press releases to promote recent closings.
• Writing content for Avant website and articles for blogs.
• Social media marketing and outreach.
• Managing internship program.
• Data entry.

Regional Director, Originations: Selected Markets Nationwide

AVANT Capital is seeking experienced commercial real estate loan originators to source and originate new business nationwide. AVANT is a direct lender and correspondent lender. The company also brokers debt and equity when hired on an exclusive basis. Target transactions range from $1-20m.

Regional Directors manage the marketing for and review of loan requests for the company’s multifamily and commercial lending platforms. The candidate should be an experienced commercial real estate professional with a strong network of appropriate contacts.

Responsibilities include:

Lead, coordinate and direct origination efforts in a designated region.

• Communicate with borrowers, brokers and investors.
• Maintain records of outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Complete preliminary review of specific loan requests.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience, with a demonstrated track record completing commercial real estate transactions. Commercial real estate brokers looking to transition into the financing side of the business will be considered. The candidate should have strong knowledge of real estate capital markets, and a rolodex that includes investors, property owners, mortgage brokers, investment sales brokers and other related professionals. This position requires superb organizational and communication skills. A college degree is required, and an advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or MS is preferred.

Director, Investor Relations: Greenwich CT

AVANT Capital is seeking an experienced Institutional Salesperson / Capital Raiser to manage the marketing and fund-raising efforts for its multifamily and commercial debt investment platform. The candidate should be an experienced fundraiser with a strong network of appropriate contacts and will work closely with the Managing Principal of the firm to engage with the investor community and manage the marketing process.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead, coordinate and direct overall fund raising efforts.
• Oversee development of marketing materials and communication with investors.
• Develop a capital raising effort focused on institutional and private investors including endowments, foundations, corporate partners and family office investors.
• Maintain records of outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Devise investment and partnership structures and then oversee the development of legal agreements.
• Maintain investor relationships on an ongoing basis.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience, with a demonstrated track record raising capital. The candidate should have strong knowledge of real estate capital markets, and a rolodex that includes endowment, foundations, pension fund, family office, high net worth and offshore investors. A strong network of institutional and private investor relationships is essential.

This position requires superb organizational and communication skills. A college degree is required, and an advanced degree such as MBA, JD, or MS is preferred.
